Adding custom domain for a store makes it more lucrative and gives the opportunity to brand a store to the audience. To add a custom domain follow the steps bellow:
You can add both top level domain and subdomain(test.example.com) to their Sellzzy Store. To add TLD(Top Level Domain, ex: example.com) in the store follow these steps bellow.
1. Click the Connect your domain button
2. A pop up will appear. Enter the domain you want to connect and click on Connect
3. In the next pop you will get a DNS record which you need to add in your domain’s DNS provider. For example, if your domain is registered with Namecheap, you need to log in to your domain dashboard and add a CNAME record in the DNS record
4. In domain dashboard navigate to Advance DNS. Click on Add New Record button. Select the record type - CNAME. Enter the Host and value in the respective field. Click on the blue tick to save changes.
5. After adding the DNS record wait a few minutes for domain propagation and click on the Connect button to connect the domain in your store.
A verifying domain spinner will appear and within 15 seconds the page will be reload and if everything is set up correctly your domain will be added to the store.
6. Set the domain as primary to redirect your customers to the domain you set.
To add subdomain in your store please follow the same steps just there will be a minor change in the DNS record changing steps.
For example if the sub domain is test.example.com , you need to add the word test in the host value of the CNAME record.
